Coaching

Many athletes require the services of a coach, no matter their performance level. The role of the coach is fundamental to the success of triathletes at every level.

Our coaching network is critical to the growth and reputation of our sport. A good coach needs to be positive, supportive, enthusiastic, focused, goal-oriented, knowledgeable, observant, respectful, patient, and a clear communicator.

There are a variety of reasons people get involved in coaching. You may be a community coach, former athlete, business coach or simply seeking a career change. No matter your reasoning, Triathlon Australia have various courses to support your journey as a coach. Levels of coaching vary and start at an entry-level and progress to high performance. Triathlon Australia’s National Coaching Framework outlines the various levels of accreditation and provides more information about coaching programs.
