The Victorian Duathlon Series is gearing up for another stellar year, as Triathlon Victoria today announces the 2019 Series.
Supported by Bayside Triathlon Club, Melbourne Triathlon Club, Western Surburbs Triathlon Club and Yarra Triathlon Club, the 2019 Victorian Duathlon Series will hit the road across August, September and October for four huge races in metro Melbourne.
Races 1, 3 and 4 see the 2019 Series return to the spiritual home of duathlon at Yarra Boulevard. Hitting our favourite fast and flat Melbourne course, we’ll be kicking the series off in flying fashion on August 11, before returning for Race 3 on September 22 and the Victorian Duathlon Championships on October 13. While Race 2 takes us to the heart of metro club racing at Altona, with duathletes set to take on the serene Altona Esplanade.
Series registrations for the 2019 Victorian Duathlon Series are now open, with Triathlon Australia members saving up to $55 on series registration.
Aligning with Triathlon Victoria’s values of inclusion, the 2019 Victorian Duathlon Series will once again feature multiclass racing, providing something for everyone, no matter their age, gender, cultural background or ability. To register for multiclass racing, please select the ‘multiclass’ category for the distance you wish to race in.
The Victorian Duathlon Series is a community based racing series, consisting of four races each hosted by a different local Victorian triathlon club in collaboration with Triathlon Victoria. The Victorian Duathlon Series has a strong club/squad focus, and seeks to highlight not just great Victorian athletes, but also the fantastic work community clubs do, and showcase some of the best duathlon courses in Australia. All proceeds from each Victorian Duathlon Series race go directly back into the club and the sport of triathlon.
