Coaching conference set to benefit coaches, triathletes & runners.

Victorian coaches, triathletes and runners are invited to attend Triathlon Victoria’s 2019 Coaching Conference.

With a strong focus on running and athlete-centric coaching, this event is perfect for coaches and athletes who want to increase the effectiveness of their coaching, together with an excellent networking opportunity.

Attendees will have the chance to hear from and connect with a range of sports professionals to help develop your coaching knowledge.

Leading the charge is running coach Paul Mackinnon. Paul’s philosophy focuses on key cues and small changes to get athletes running faster. Athletes will be guided to ensure their whole body is in balance and aligned to increase forward propulsion and minimize excess movement.

He’ll be joined by Up and Running Podiatry’s Matt Bull and Gary Johnstone, who will share their passion for educating athletes to move and feel better. Matt and Gary understand the challenges and concerns athletes and their coaches can face when it comes to running and injury and will dispelling some of the myths coaches might have when it comes to working with allied health professionals.

Elitewellbeing’s Dr Krystine Mottram and Craig Mottram are also confirmed to present. They’ll be sharing their informative and practical guide to creating optimal training environments which foster an athlete’s wellbeing. Coaches will be empowered to appreciate elements associated with athlete wellbeing that can be utilized in their role as a sports facilitator, as well as strategies to accommodate an array of athlete psychological needs.

Zwift’s Kevin Poulton rounds out the presenters with the Team Katusha Alpecin Head Coach set to share his knowledge on how coaches can implement successful indoor training using the latest technology.
