Race for Relief set to help Gippsland

As generous Victorians rally around communities devastated by the state’s bush-fires, the Wild Dog Triathlon Club is doing its bit to support the local area and those affected.

Race for Relief will directly benefit the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund after Wild Dog Triathlon Club’s committee approved 100 per cent of all race fees collected at this week’s event be directed to the fund.

Entries fees for WDTC members is $10 and Non-WDTC members $25, which includes a one-day licence fee. Race registrations close at 4:45pm with the race to start at approximately 4:30 pm for under 12s and 5:00 pm for adults. Post-event, the club will be offering their regular BBQ.

Thank you to all our clubs and training groups who are raising much needed funds for the bushfire crisis through various initiatives. Please remember, if you are running an event, that care and caution needs to be taken when exercising in smoke hazardous areas. For assistance, please visit the Australian Institute of Sport website to read their recommendations.

If your club is fund-raising for bushfire relief, please tag us in any of your social media posts, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
