2023/24 Victorian State Series kicks off at Caribbean Gardens

The anticipated 2023/24 Victorian State Series season is set to commence as athletes are gearing up for the second and final race of the Victorian Duathlon Championships. Taking place on Sunday 27 August, this event promises to be a thrilling start to a series that celebrates the spirit of Victorian duathlon racing.

Held at Caribbean Gardens for the second year running, this event is drawing in over 250 local Victorian and interstate athletes. In this highly competitive mix, this event is expected to produce some speedy results.

The Sprint race is also an Australian Age Group Multisport and Triathlon Team selection event for relevant Triathlon Australia members hoping to qualify for the 2024 World Triathlon Multisport Championships in Townsville. This is an incredible opportunity for athletes wanting to represent Team Australia on home turf.

Registrations for Race 2 of the Victorian Duathlon Championships close 11:59pm Wednesday 23 August.

About the 2023/24 Victorian State Series

The 2023/24 Victorian State Series title is awarded to both individuals and clubs based on results from selected multisport events across the season.

Athletes are ranked in age groups and accrue points for results across the 7 series calendar events.

Individual State Championship medals are presented for podium finishes in male and female age group categories, and multiclass at selected events.

Points accrued in each race go towards the overall State Series Individual Championship, and towards the Club Championship and Performance Championship awards presented at the Annual VIC Awards.
